People claim that NY nightlife is “dead”, but in the LGBTQIA+ community that is far from the case. Y2Rave was a 16h New Year’s Eve Rave in an event space in Brooklyn aimed to celebrate the nostalgia of 1999. The party ramped into a Y2K/end of the world inspired hysteria at 23:59:59. The logo references the dance floor as Church with the holy cross set in type and a never-not-smiling happy face atop it. The branding and collateral conveyed the energy of both a techno-fueled dance floor and the early 00’s leaning DJ sets of the evening/early morning.
